![]() Your trick worked for me, but then I found a newer software called Logitech SetPoint Options ( ) which worked as advertised for me. Thanks to feedback from Jonathan On December 10, 2016: Your particular setup may be covered there. It has a lighter color in person than in the pictures.Be sure to check the comments. Overall, a very good mouse for someone like me, but maybe not for you if you only use Windows 8 and don't like adapting to a new system of scrolling. This might solve the problems Setpoint caused on Windows 8. Can't use the Logitech Gaming Software that my mom's G400 uses. Wouldn't recommend if you play FPS games where you need to switch between guns and stuff using the scroll wheel - even with the lock on it you'll still scroll the thing back at least another rotation more than you wanted to.Ĥ. I haven't had any issues with the software on Windows 7 however so if that matters to you, take note.ģ. Without the software, I don't get this issue, but I also don't get some of the nice functionality of the software. I have yet to try simply pulling the cord on it after waking from sleep as I decided to just ditch the software entirely and don't even bother. It works after a restart or full shutdown. Whenever I wake the PC up from sleep, the mouse becomes unusable. Note, pressing this little lock button does not change side-scrolling functionality.Ģ. The scrolling here takes a bit of time to get used to but feels normal after awhile. If you press the little button under the scroll wheel, it locks it a bit. With a light flick, it will spin 50+ times. When you take the mouse out of the box, by default the scroll wheel is super loose. There are a few cons with this mouse however.ġ. The side buttons feel a little mushy but for $30, can't complain too much. The clicks are satisfying enough and everything feels very well made. If you use Setpoint, the default for middle click will become a task switching thing a bit like Alt+F4 but more intuitive as it shows all Windows in a more expanded size. The scroll wheel scrolls left and right and works well. You can change this using Logitech's Setpoint software (I'll get back to this later) but not the Logitech gaming software you might use for, say, a G400. It has two buttons on the left side that are pre-programmed to be forward a page and back a page. Seems like a good mouse if you use things like Photoshop a bit. It has a lower DPI sensor than I would like (1000 DPI), but this is easily solvable by increasing the motion of the cursor within the mouse settings in Windows. It kinda works if you stack your forefinger on top of your pinky but I wouldn't recommend it for that. It has a rest for your pinky finger if you use the claw grip which I sometimes do. I have small hands for a guy and it's just perfect. Had it for about 3 weeks now so here goes.įirst off, it fits like a glove. It was out of stock but I ended up getting one shipped to me. I went to Office Depot (general office store, dunno how far out of Oregon the reside) and spotted one of these. I needed a new mouse pronto and I wanted one that was A. After only 9 months of service, my old mouse died.
